The accident happened at the junction at Ashlawn which comes down onto the Ballyraine Road.
It is not known how many people were involve din the accident.
The road is blocked off by the emergency services at both ends and traffic in the area is being diverted.
Traffic volumes are heavy as a result of the diversions.
