COMMUNITY TEXT ALERT FOR THE ROSSES

After the meeting that was held in Annagry Hall on Wednesday 17th February, it has been decided that we will join The Rosses Community Text Alert. Forms to be completed can be collected from Annagry Hall Office or Sharkey’s Bar. There is a €10 charge for every mobile phone we register.

ANNAGRY BAND EASTER MONDAY PARADE

To commemorate the Centenary of the Easter Rising and as part of the Easter traditon in our Parish, the Band will parade through the Village on Easter Monday afternoon to mark this historical occasion. All past Band members are encouraged to take part, it is also hoped that all the other local Bands will join too. Please contact Michael Sharkey or Paul McDevitt for more details.

SEAMUS RODGERS

Former Union Official, Seamus Rodgers, has been selected by the Trade Union S.I.P.T.U. as one of their delegates to the Annual Conference of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (I.C.T.U.) to be held in Dublin on 25 / 26 February.

Seamus Rodgers has welcomed the information supplied to him by Donegal Country Council Road Safety Officer, Brian O’Donnell, that luminous markings will be put on walls of road bridges in the County over the next few weeks, a number of road users had expressed concern that the lack of luminous signs could lead to accidents during the hours of darkness.

Seamus Rodgers, Annagry West has been re- appointed for a further 12 months as a member of the Cross Border Body, The Loughs Agency. This Body is engaged in Tourism, Angling, Habitat Protection and Shell Fishing in the Foyle catchment area of part ofDonegal including Inishowen and The River Finn, Counties Derry, Tyrone, Carlingford and Counties Down and Armagh.

FLOWER BOX CLASSES

We are looking for anybody who might be interested in a flower box arranging class. We all want our outside flower boxes looking nice for the summer months.
