ST EUNAN’S COLLEGE GET TOP MARKS IN MATHS AND SCIENCE COMPETITION

St. Eunan’s College continued their remarkable success in this competition winning 1st and 2nd places in the Mathematics Teachers Association Team Maths which was held in the Mount Errigal Hotel.

The competition is open to all secondary schools in Donegal and this year there were 30 teams competing.

The questions are based on the Higher level Project Mathematics Curriculum and all throughout Ireland schools compete on the same night for the right to go forward to the All Ireland.

The winning team of St. Eunan’s College will now go NUI Galway next weekend on Saturday 5th March to compete in the All Ireland Final in the University.

The winning team was Pauric Neely, Leon Vaughan, Danny Mathew and Patrick Curran. The team in 2nd place overall also representing St. Eunan’s College were Donal Farren, James Donaghey, Ayrton Kelly and Stephen Gallen.

In the Donegal Science competition St. Eunan’s College also won 1st place with Leon Vaughan, Danny Mathew and Caolan Vaughan with questions based on Physics, Chemistry and Biology based on the Higher Level course.
