IT’S one of Donegal’s most iconic images – or at least it used to be.

The boat, Bad Eddie, washed up on the beach at Magheraclogher in Gaoth Dobhair in the 1970s, is now a clump of ruined metal and wood.

The wrecked vessel featured in a video for Clannad’s famous ‘In A Lifetime’ video in 1985.

Bad Eddie may now have to be removed altogether, taking away an iconic if unintentional landmark on Donegal’s Wild Atlantic Way.
