LEAGUE OF IRELAND: Finn Harps FC have secured the signature of former Derby County, Derry City and Crusaders star Barry Molloy.

Molloy was regarded as one of the finest midfielders in the LOI during his time with Derry City.

Molloy is a club legend at The Brandywell, but departed the club in 2014 to join Irish League outfit Crusaders.

However, he struggled to make an impact at the Irish League Champions – and he departed the club by mutual consent in January.

Molloy officially announced his retirement from the game following his release from Crusaders.

However, he has now been coaxed back into top-flight football by Ollie Horgan.

Molloy’s signature is a huge boost for Harps and his experience for them will be vital this season.

Molloy is an outstanding player and his knowledge of the Premier Division will be a huge boost for Harps.

Molloy is expected to make his debut in Friday’s highly anticipated North-West derby clash between Finn Harps and Derry City.
