Well done to one of our senior ladies player Ellie McDonnell as she was selected to represent St Columba’s Comprehensive school Glenties as the President of Ireland presented 5th year Scholars around the country with the national flag & proclamation at a ceremony in Croke park last Monday.
The seniors started the season last Sunday with a Gaeltacht Match against Dungloe reserves and came away with a very good 4 point win 3-8 to 3-4.
This match was also a tribute in remembrance of Breege Gallagher Corr point, the wife of former Na Rossa senior player Vinny. Thanks to the Dungloe club for the tea and refreshments afterwards. The seniors now play Glenfin in the next round this Saturday afternoon. Time to be confirmed at training.
The club would like to thank Aidan & Ann Marie of Teach Gleann Chleo for sponsoring energy drinks for the senior squad.
The lotto draw took place last Monday night in the hall. No jackpot winner on the night. Numbers drawn were 4,14,25 & 28.Two lucky dip winners receive €50 Brigid Glackin, Dirlaught & Hannah Caulfield, Doochary.
Donegal will host Roscommon in the next round of the league competition this Sunday in Letterkenny with a 3pm throw in. Patrons note this is all ticket only.
Tickets can be purchased in the usual outlets and in the County Board office.
Ticket prices
Adult €10
Under 16 €5. Please note under 16′ need tickets.
OAP/Students €10 and no concessions.
No tickets available on the day of match at the ground.
Good luck to Declan, John, Christian and the Donegal U21 panel as they start their Ulster championship next Wednesday night in Ballybofey against either Derry or Antrim.
Best of luck lads from all at the club
