Bigger isn’t always better but no one can deny that when it comes to your hair volume plays a very important part.

Keeping your hair styled in the same way over time encourages it to lay flat so a simple change like switching your parting can provide an instant lift.

Patrick has asked Anita one of our Style Directors to share some of her volumizing tips with us.

Anita says “We all love volume- it’s the most commonly asked question in the salon. How can I get volume into my hair? Well the good news is that it can be achieved in many ways. Here are a few tips on how to get the sexy volume that you want.”

Blow-Dry Hair Upside Down

WP EiMi 2015

One of the simplest volume boosters is to blow-dry your hair upside down, this works so well because your roots are being lifted off the scalp.

Blow-Dry Your Hair in Opposite Directions

If you want sexy volume. Simply direct your blow-dryer in opposite direction of the way the hair falls. Finish by blasting the roots with a lower heat to make your hair appear even thicker.

Get The Right Cut

Your stylist will be able to advise what cut will suit you best for what you want to achieve but if it is volume that you are looking for- a one length cut can make the hair look thickest. Too many layers can look stringy, your stylist can angle pieces around your face for movement.

User Dry Me!

Have you ever noticed that clean hair can feel slippery and looks limp? Flip your head upside down and spray some Dry Me (EIMI Dry Me Shampoo) and gently shake your strands with your fingertips. This will add great volume without any white powder/ residue showing.

Choose a Volumizing Hair Care Regime

Washing your hair in a volumizing shampoo can make a world of difference to your hair. When you are adding conditioner make sure to avoid the root area; apply to ends only for beautiful volumized hair. (We use System Professional Volumize Shampoo)
