Scoil Mhuire gan Smál, Letterkenny have once again been crowned the All Ireland Sportshall champions.
This year’s event was held in the AIT in Athlone with primary school teams from all over Ireland competing to win the coveted title.
Scoil Mhuire Gan Smal’s 3rd and 4th class girls excelled in 9 out of their 12 events which resulted in them being crowned All Ireland champions for the 2nd year running.
The girls train 4 days a week under the expert eye of their coach, Mrs Irene Mc Fadden.
Irene’s dedication to promoting sport amongst all the pupils at the school has earned her the title of Best Primary School Teacher in Donegal this year.
Huge credit must be given to all the team members who have prepared so well for the event , from the extremely competitive regional qualifying heats in the Aura Leisure Centre to the All Ireland finals…an amazing accolade, winning 2 All Ireland titles back to back! Well done to all involved!
