unnamed-4DONEGAL has another set of world champions!

Congratulations are in order for Maghery Fife & Drum Band who have just been crowned International Champions for the third year in a row.

This is the band’s first Title Hat Trick as Best International Youth Band at Limerick’s International Band Championship that took place today.

Maghery band’s victory against bands from USA, Europe and Ireland is much appreciated and held with honour and esteem as competitors were of such an exceptional standard.

This competition is Maghery Band’s first competition since their All Ireland win and has started the band’s competing year off on a tremendous high, possibly a forecast of what is yet to come in 2016.

Maghery band are next competing a week today on Easter Sunday in Dungloe and will be taking part in the spectacle Rosses Fifers Unite.

*Rosses Fifers Unite will be parading at 3pm on Sunday 27th March (Easter Sunday) on Main St, Dungloe and followed by the Marching Band competition.
