A PENSIONER had died in a road crash.
Gardaí at Sligo are investigating the single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Castlegal, Cliffoney at 3pm yesterday.
A Garda spokesman said: “A car collided with a ditch resulting in the death of the 69 year old male driver who was the only occupant of the vehicle.
“The body was removed to Sligo University Hospital where a Post Mortem examination will take place.
“A technical and forensic examination of the scene has been completed by Garda forensic collision investigators and the road has since been reopened to traffic.”
