CAPPRY ROVERS
Gweedore Celtic 3 Cappry Rovers 3
Despite racing into an early two goal lead Gweedore had to rely on an injury time equaliser from Shane Porter to earn a draw against Cappry. Jamie Boyle had the home team two up in the first ten minutes but Cappry pulled one back through Alan Patton just before the break. One minute into the second half Thomas Diver had a chance to restore his team’s two goal advantage but he miss-hit with the goal at his mercy. Cappry went in search of the equaliser and got it from a free kick by Darren O’ Leary with fifteen minutes remaining. Cappry seemed to have grabbed all three points when Colm Melaugh pounced to score in the 90th minute. In injury time a Michael Roarty corner was finished by Porter to level the game. Best for Gweedore were Shane Porter and Eugene Ferry. For Cappry, Darren O’ Leary and Alan Patton.
CAPPRY ROVERS RESERVES
Cappry Rovers Reserves were beaten 3-0 away to Keadue Rovers on Saturday. They are due to play our neighbours, Curragh Athletic on Wednesday evening in Cappry with a 6.30pm kick off. All support welcome.
CAPPRY ROVERS U14’s
Cappry Rovers travelled to Drumkeen on Saturday morning and were up against a very strong Drumkeen team. They tried really hard but were unable to stop Drumkeen winning comprehensively on a 4-0 scoreline. They will now look to try and secure 2nd place in the league with Drumkeen looking like they won’t be caught.
CAPPRY CRUSADERS U14’s
Cappry Crusaders played Bonagee Athletic at he weekend and came home with 3 points when they recorded a 3-0 win. All players played very well on the day and the management were full of praise for each and everyone of them.
CAPPRY ROVERS U12’s
Cappry Rovers are back in action tomorrow evening when they travel to Convoy where they will be trying to move closer to sealing the title.
CAPPRY COLTS U12’s
The Colts played their final match of the season at home against Ballybofey Colts. The visitors started very well and could have been in front early on through Shea McMenamin with a couple of early chances. The home side were very slow to get going and created very little until 5 minutes before the break Eoin McGonagle scored. The 2nd half started with Ballybofey making plenty chances and really should have been level, however against the run of play Niall Ryan pounced to put the home side 2 up four minutes from time. This brings an end to the league campaign and a runners up spot at the end was what these lads achieved. Thanks to Ballybofey for a very close contest, match referee John Coyle and of course the ladies for making the tea.
CAPPRY CRUSADERS U12’s
The Cappry Crusaders play their final league match against Convoy Arsenal Reserves tomorrow evening in Convoy. They will be taking to the field as champions but they will still be trying to maintain their unbeaten record in the league.
