FOOTBALL: The Donegal connection with the Ireland soccer team is getting stronger by the minute and it doesn’t look like stopping in the near future.

Shay Given has been flying the flag for Donegal for a quite a while now, before Seamus Colemen from Killybegs came along and continues to amaze us with his silky skills even as a full back.

Last Friday night Shane Duffy whose Dad hails from Letterkenny put in a MOTM performance and set up the goal for another man with Donegal connections Ciaran Clarke.

Well tonight two new Donegal lads will walk out on to the pitch at The Aviva Stadium for the first time.

Andrew Nicholls a much sought after centre forward with Ballyraine FC under 9’s and his brother Marc Nicholls a tough tackling no nonsense type centre midfielder will lead the team out against Slovakia in tonights friendly!

Coming from a sporting family with their mum Claire Kelly/Nicholls a great athlete herself, as well as their dad Enda Nicholls who loves watching all types of sports, lets hope the boys enjoy their big day.
