IMG_20160408_200500Last Friday was the annual collection day for Make a wish Ireland and once again Donegal was not found wanting.

Local coordinator Chris Frize along with the support and help of many volunteers set up at various locations around Letterkenny.

The event was an amazing success with funds in excess of €1500 being collected on the day.

Make a wish Ireland is a non government funded charity and it relies solely on the support of the public to help the cause.

Make a Wish helps to make the dreams of children who have a life threatening medical condition to come true. This is a fantastic and worthwhile charity.

It is a national charity that also has seen many children in Donegal and locally in Letterkenny getting the chance to experince their dream.

Chris and the make a wish team would like to extend a massive thank you to the venues for allowing them to set up their collection tables. They were the Letterkenny Shopping Centre, New Dunnes Stores and Dealz Letterkenny.

A massive thanks also to all the volunteers who donated there time to helping out, special thanks to Ciaran Rodgers and the Errigal College as well as Caroline Whorskey who helped round up volunteers without your help it would not of been possible.

“We really appreciate all the help and finally a massive thanks to all who donated to the cause, as it is your money that will help those children and allow them to live out a dream,” said Chris.
