A conference dealing with various aspects of cancer and recovery will be hosted by Donegal Relay for Life in Letterkenny this Saturday.

The event will cover a wide range of issues including an update on Radiotherapy treatment in Altnagelvin Hospital, advances in cancer research, cancers in young adults, and advances in mouth, head and neck cancers.

Among the speakers will be Letterkenny native, Dr. Leah Finan who is Senior House Officer with the Dublin Dental University.

“There is more to Relay for Life than just fund-raising and events such as this focus on education and awareness which is vitally important,” said local Relay chairperson, Robert O’Connor.

Advance booking for the conference, which is being held in the Mount Errigal Hotel from 10.a.m. to 4.p.m. on Saturday, is essential as places are limited.

The event is free and includes lunch.

To secure a place register on: relayforlifedonegal@gmail.com or telephone Mags at 087-6865828 or Ena at 087-9966096.
