Under the umbrella of the Sports Inclusion Disability Programme, Donegal Sports Partnership host fortnightly wheelchair basketball sessions.

The initiative targets players with a physical disability, is open to junior participants of all abilities and aims to provide fun inclusive basketball sessions.

Sports wheelchairs are provided for participants so there is no requirement for equipment.

The programme has been running for a number of years and Donegal Sports Partnership now hope that new players can be recruited. Participants are also welcome to invite siblings or friends to come along and join the sessions. The programme runs in Letterkenny and is based at Letterkenny Institute of Technology.

If you or anyone you know are interested in participating or if there are any basketball coaches interested in lending their skills please do not hesitate to contact Thérèse Laverty (Sports Inclusion Disability Officer) on 074 (91)16078/16079 or via email sido@activedonegal.com
