GAA NEWS: GLENSWILLY SENIORS AND RESERVES FACE TERMON

Health and Wellbeing

The club will have a group entry in the Darkness Into Light event on May 7th next. People can walk or run the event in aid of Pieta House (supporting their self-harm and suicide services). Anyone interested in joining the group and raising money for this really worthy cause can text 086 1611240. The cost is €20.

Games

On 24th April next, the Seniors and Reserves travel to Termon. The Reserves games throws in at 1.30pm while the Senior games starts at 3pm. Both games to be played in the Burn Rd Termon.

The 3rd Team play on Saturday next, 23rd April against St Eunans in O’Donnell Park with a throw-in time of 6.00pm.

Deadline for Garda vetting

Anyone looking to help out at underage training will now have to wait until the 29th April to get Garda Vetted. Garda Vetting forms are no longer excepted but those needing garda vetting can do so online after 29th April. Details on how to apply will follow.

Ladies notes

Ladies game was postponed at the weekend. It will now take place this Sunday 24th at home.

Under 14 girls were narrowly defeated in Annagry on Monday 18th. U14 girls Training continues Monday evenings at the training pitch 6-7.15.

Under 12 girls training is at the main pitch on Wednesday 6.30-7.30.

Date for your diary – Table Quiz takes place in Callaghans on Friday 27th May, teams of 4, €20 per team. All support welcome.

Under 14s

The U14s boys team finished off their league campaign with a good win against St Eunans on Monday night last.

Well done Philip

Well done to senior team goalkeeper Philip O’Donnell who has received a independent.ie rising star award this week.

Monthly meetings

The minor board and general monthly meetings take place on Monday next, April 25th. The minor board meeting starts at 7.55pm and at least one manager form each underage squad is asked to be there. The general meeting starts at 9pm.

Bingo

Bingo continues in the hall every Wednesday night starting at 9pm. People are asked to come along early as the bingo is proving very popular with great cash prizes on offer.
