BOXING: Jason Quigley has confirmed via his Twitter account that he will fight on the undercard of the highly anticipated bout between Sául Álvarez and Amir Khan.

It had been rumoured for a number of months that Quigley could be added to the undercard.

However, it was only tonight, that it was officially confirmed that Quigley will fight on the undercard which takes place on June 7th, at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas.

Quigley will face 28-year-old Mexican James De La Rosa.

Quigley tweeted, “The date is set, May 7th at the new T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas. On the undercard of #Canelo/Khan – it’s time to shine!”

Quigley is in the Oscar De La Hoya stable – ‘Golden Boy Promotions’ and has made a blistering start to his professional career – winning all TEN of his bouts.

De La Hoya has heaped praise on Quigley, and believes he can be a future World Champion.

Many pundits believe this fight will represent the toughest challenge of Quigley’s professional career.
