IN SAFE HANDS – SHAY LOOKING GOOD AT 40!

I've still got it.

I’ve still got it at 40!

BIRTHDAY: One of Donegal’s greatest ever exports – Shay Given, has turned 40 today!

The Lifford native is one of the finest goalkeepers Ireland has ever produced, and has enjoyed an incredible career.

Given played for Celtic, Blackburn, Newcastle, Manchester City, Aston Villa, Middlesbrough and Stoke City during an illustrious career.

He returned for Stoke City on Monday night, but unfortunately Mark Hughes’s team were defeated 4-0 by a rampant Spurs side searching for a first ever Premier League title.

Shay is still going strong at 40, and he’s hoping his return to Stoke’s starting XI will help him reclaim a place in the Ireland team for the European Championships in France.

Happy birthday Shay!
