Le Vent du Nord

YOUNG fiddle and melodeon/accordion players have a great opportunity to take part in a workshop with musicians from French-Canadian group Le Vent du Nord.

The dynamic folk group have blazed a trail across the globe with their gritty, modern twist on North American folk music, whether performing traditional Québec tunes and original material or sharing a stage with the likes of The Chieftains.

They will take to the stage of the Regional Cultural Centre on Tuesday May 10th but musicians Olivier Demers and Rejean Brunet are taking take time out for the workshop from 5pm-6.30pm.

Aimed at intermediate/advanced players, the cost is €10. Anyone interested should contact: martinmcginley@donegaletb.ie or call 07491
