Last Saturday evening Robert Emmett’s traveled to Dooey in this latest round of division 4 matches.

In difficult conditions Na Rossa played with a strong breeze advantage and took a 4 point
lead into half time 0-8 to 0-4 with 4 points coming of the boot of John Paul McCready, Odhran Molloy registering 2 points and a point a piece from Gerard Breslin and John McDyre.

Emmett’s kept in touch knowing that the strong breeze would play a factor in the second half with scores from Gary McNally (2) and a point each for John Hunter & Kyle McConnell.
Start of the second half both teams swapped scores firstly from Gary McNally to narrow the gap only for JP McCready
and then Christian Bonner to extend the lead to 5 points. Pivotal moment in the half when Na Rossa’s Gerard Breslin
latched onto a pass and put through a terrific ball to Odhran Molloy who found himself one on one with the keeper
but an important stop from Simon Mcmenamin kept his side in the game.
Emmetts piled on the pressure and finished the game strongly scoring 4 points without reply to leave the bare
minimum between the sides but Na Rossa held on to take 2 vital points.
An excellent game of football in what was very difficult conditions.
Final score Na Rossa 0-10, Robert Emmetts 0-09.
