One of the bogus emails claiming to give a refund.
Hundreds of Eir customers across Donegal have been hit with a bogus email pretending they are entitled to a refund form the phone supplier.
The email were sent today from a bogus account promising refunds.
When people click on the link to the refund page, they are then asked to submit their personal details.
However it has now been confirmed that this is a scam used at optioning people’s personal information.
The public are advised not to fail in the details as Eir say they will never issue refunds via email.
