Tubs Goes Wild - The Tubridy Show set to tour on The Wild Atlantic WayThe Ryan Tubridy Show set to tour The Wild Atlantic Way and the RTE star has kept his promise to visit Buncrana.

The Ryan Tubridy Show has joined once again this year with Fáilte Ireland’s summer marketing campaign and will be broadcasting live with RTE Radio 1.

Last month the RTE star told his listeners that the one place he would be visiting would be the Inishowen town.

He was speaking in the wake of the Buncrana drowning tragedy which claimed the lives of five members of the one family.

The Buncrana stop will be the first as Ryan visits the Wild Atlantic Way from Monday 30th to Thursday 2nd June with the ‘Tubs on Tour on the Wild Atlantic Way’ summer holiday broadcasts.

People across Donegal will see the visual spectacle of the first Wild Atlantic Way and RTE Radio 1 bus – branded from top to toe with Wild Atlantic Way and RTE Radio 1 branding and Ryan’s image – travelling the Wild Atlantic Way taking in some key Discovery Points along the way and stopping off for live broadcasts in four locations along the route.

The RTE Radio 1 team has a busy schedule as the popular host broadcasts live from:

Buncrana, Co Donegal (Monday, 30th May) – Main St. Buncrana
Strandhill in Sligo (Tuesday, 31st May), The Seafront on Strand Rd (beside the Strandhill Surf Shop)
Clifden, Co Galway (Wednesday 1st June) – The main Market Square (outside EJ Kings bar and restaurant)
Kilkee, Co. Clare (Thursday, 2nd June) – The West End Car park near the Pollock holes

Ryan will be interviewing some local tourism businesses from the surrounding area and discussing some of the many activities and experiences available to anyone touring the Wild Atlantic Way.

Fáilte Ireland is encouraging everyone to come out and attend the broadcasts.

Looking forward to the arrival of the popular RTE Radio 1show, Fiona Monaghan, Head of Wild Atlantic Way, Fáilte Ireland, said they are delighted that Ryan has decided to experience the Wild Atlantic Way first-hand and more importantly tell his listeners all about it.

“This is the third consecutive year the show has chosen to showcase the Wild Atlantic Way. This year spectators coming down to watch the broadcast in Buncrana, Strandhill, Clifden or Kilkee can expect to see plenty of festivities, interviews, live music, and of course prize giveaways as well as hear about local tourism highlights. We are encouraging everyone to come on down and join in the fun to bring the Wild Atlantic Way to life through the airwaves.”
