ROYAL VISIT: PRINCE CHARLES AND CAMILLA WELCOMED AT MAGEES OF DONEGAL TOWN

ROYAL VISIT: The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall were greeted by Lynn Temple and his family on their arrival at the Magee factory in Donegal Town during their Royal visit. 

The duchess, Camilla Parker Bowles wore a blue Anna Valentine suit. The duchess also wore a claddagh brooch she was given during her visit to Ireland last year.

Mr Lynn Temple outlined the history of the business to the royals. The company, which has won many awards, celebrates its 150th anniversary this year.

Today the company is run by 3rd and 4th generations in the business and employs over 80 people in Donegal.

Mr. Temple welcomed the visit. Earlier he outlined how 50 per cent of Magee clothing and cloth sales go to the United Kingdom.

Earlier Mr. Temple said that their products were handwoven until the 70’s. The company still retains 8 hand weavers.

However, they now power weave high fashion fabrics for the global market.

Their company has evolved and changed over the years manufactures linen, wool and high fashion for both women and men.
