SHAY Given and Aiden McGeady have been included in Martin O’Neill’s squad for the Euro 2016 campaign in France.
Both players were fighting for a place in the last 23 – with Killybegs man Seamus Coleman the only Donegal certainty.
But Co Derry man O’Neill has gone with experience and has stood by Given and McGeady.
He has also included Shane Duffy and James McClean – and kept Robbie Keane.
However Derry duo Darron Gibson and Eunan O’Kane miss out.
Ireland lost 2-1 to Belarus in a friendly in Cork this evening. Given could do little about either goal.
Ireland start their Euro 2016 campaign against Sweden in Paris on June 12th, before facing Belgium in Bordeaux on June 18th and finishing in Lille against Italy on June 22nd.
