Finn Harps earned a superb 3-0 win over Sligo Rovers tonight in the North-West derby at Finn Park.
It’s the perfect way for Ollie Horgan’s side to sign off, as they now embark on a two-week break.
Harps were full value for the win, and two goals from the classy Sean Houston ensured they earned a brilliant one.
Ryan Curran also got on the score-sheet in what was a excellent team performance tonight from Harps.
Sligo were in red hot form prior to this clash, and had won five games on the bounce, but they met a Harps team determined to pick up a home win – after successive home defeats to Dundalk and Crumlin United.
Houston fired Harps ahead after the quarter mark, and then Ryan Curran scored early in the second-half to put Horgan’s troops in the driving seat.
Houston capped a MOTM display with his side’s third goal, and ensured all three points would be going to Harps.
A healthy crowd turned up for this one on a cracking evening for football, and Finn Park looked like a carpet.
Harps can now enjoy the week off, and will return to training next weekend.
