QUILT 1

FEATURES: The children in the senior room of Ballymore National School, Dunfanaghy have made a patchwork quilt in aid of The Jack and Jill Foundation.

The talented pupils have decided to name their quilt ‘The Ballymore Quilt’.

The children are holding a draw for the quilt on Thursday 23rd June 2016.

They are selling lines at €2 a line to raise money for this worthy cause.

The Sheephaven Patchwork Quilters Guild are exhibiting their quilts in The Workhouse, Dunfanaghy from Wednesday 8th of June and have kindly invited the children to display their quilt.

Lines can be purchased locally or from the school. The children have set a target and would really love to achieve this as we are a small rural primary school.

Mary Ferry (SNA) was in charge of this and helped the children put the quilt together.

They school have photographs of the children holding the quilt and also have a picture of our target board. (Jack and Jill making their way up the hill to reach our target – all the children’s work).
