ESB CREWS RESTORE POWER TO DONEGAL HOMES

esbWorkerOnPole_largeESB Networks crews have worked into the night to re-connect hundreds of homes after yesterday’s thunderstorms.

The last remaining homes in Fanad and the Rosses were back with power at 2am.

At one stage hundreds of homes across the north and west of the county lost supply during one of the biggest – but briefest – lightning storms in recent years.

Heavy rain did cause problems on some roads.

Around 6,000 homes lost power at one stage on Monday across the country.
