The construction of the first ever Animal Rehabilitation Centre in Donegal has begun, and a RSPCA spokesperson is confident it will address the problems of animals suffering all over the county.

It is also expected that the facility, which will be built in Ramelton, will create a substantial amount of employment for the county.

The move has been warmly welcomed by the people of Donegal, and those who work in the industry say it’s absolutely vital that the facility is built to help resolve ongoing issues with animals that are neglected and in pain.

Building work on the exciting project begins on June 15th, and the facility will be located at Barrack, Ramelton.

Highly reputable construction company McMenamin Building Contractors Ltd have been tasked with the job, but the timeframe of when the project will be complete has not been revealed.

However, it’s a major boost for Donegal, and it’s fantastic that we’ll have such an incredible facility on our doorstep soon.
