BREAKING NEWS: BRAVE CAOLAN’S MUM TOLD HE’S CLEAR OF CANCER

CAOLANBREAKING NEWS: WELL DONE DONEGAL – Caolan Melaugh has been given the cancer all clear this evening.

For month after month the people of the county, from every walk of life and every corner of the county, have been helping to raise funds for Caolan. (We helped when we could to highlight 5ks, 10ks and other fundraisers).

Caolan was diagnosed at just 10 weeks old with stage 4 high risk neuroblastoma, a very rare and aggressive childhood cancer.

This evening mum Stacey released this lovely new picture of Caolan and revealed the best news ever…..but warned he may still need to go to America for treatment in the future so the family still need your help.

“I couldn’t describe how it feels waiting on a phone call from Caolan’s oncologist,” said Stacey

“But after a long week of worry, we got the best news ever all Caolan scans are all clear.

“We are so lucky that Caolan responded so well to treatment as some people we met along the way have lost their battle or continue to fight.

“Right now though Caolan is winning and we want to keep it that way so it is time to get all sorted for America and keep the fight going. This would not be possible without all the support from all you lovely people who have been following and supporting the fund. Thank you so much from myself and Gerard we are so happy xx”

Killygordon lad Caolan has been going through treatment in Our Lady’s Hospital Crumlin.

However, Neuroblastoma has a 80% chance of relapse, treatment in Ireland for relapse cases is very limited which means if we get there we would need to seek other treatment outside of Ireland in Europe or USA. As you can imagine the treatment is very expensive but it will give Caolan the best chance to stay cancer free.

  • For this reason we need to fund raise, there will be hurdles along the way but we do not want anything to stand in the way of Caolan chance of survival.
If you would like to donate to Caolan fund or maybe set up a fundraiser event please contact us ,as this would be greatly appreciated.Donation can be made to
