Thousands of Irish fans have turned the famous old city of Paris into a sea of green and white, as the build-up to Ireland’s clash with Sweden swells later this evening.

And fans from across Donegal are well-represented in the Green Army under Martin O’Neill and Roy Keane.

Hundreds have made the journey from Ballyshannon to Buncrana and in between and are enjoying the celebratory mode around Paris this afternoon.

Seamus Coleman is expected to start, as is James McCarthy, while Shane Duffy, whose dad is from Letterkenny could make the starting XI.

Shay Given is likely to start on the bench, as is Aiden McGeady.
