PAUL HEGARTY RETURNS TO FINN PARK AS HORGAN’S NO.2

Paul Hegarty has sensationally returned to Finn Park, after it was announced he will return to the club as Ollie Horgan’s No.2.

Horgan has been on the hunt for an assistant since Gavin Dykes departed to take the vacant managerial position at Ballinamallard United job last month.

However, Hegarty being appointed has certainly shocked some of the Finn Harps faithful.

The Raphoe man guided Harps to the Premier Division after a play-off win over Waterford in 2007.

Harps went full-time in 2008, but that decision backfired and the cost of that is still felt at Finn Park to this day.

Harps were relegated in 2008, and in May 2009, with Harps floundering in the First Division he resigned.

Seven years on, he will return to Finn Park, as Ollie Horgan and Harps bid to secure their status in the Premier Division.
