MICHAEL LANGAN IN GREAT FORM AS ST MICHAEL’S NARROWLY LOSE OUT TO NAOMH CONAILL

St. Michael’s Notes

All County League

Both senior and reserves played Naomh Conaill in Glenties on Saturday evening last.  The seniors were defeated by the narrowest of margins losing on a scoreline of Naomh Conaill 1-14 St. Michael’s 1-13.

The St. Michael’s team and scorers were: Dean McColgan, James Henry Alcorn, Stephen Doak, Michael Gallagher, Michael Cannon, Michael McGinley, Chris McElhinney, Michael Langan 0-8, Ciaran Gallagher, Ryan Langan, Daniel McLaughlin 0-3, Oisin Langan, Brian Mclaughlin, Andrew Kelly 0-1, Keelan McGee 1-2.  Subs Brendan Rodden for Alcorn, Stephen Coyle for Oisin Langan and Paul Creamer for Rodden.

The Reserves lost their match on a scoreline of Naomh Conaill 1-11 St. Michael’s 0-7.

Both teams are at home to Kilcar on this Saturday evening with the throw ins at 5.30pm and 7pm.

Well Done

Well done to Martin McElhinney, Christy Toye, Colm McFadden and Mark Anthony McGinley who were part of the Donegal Team that defeated Fermanagh in Ballybofey on Sunday last.  Congratulations to Mark Anthony on making his Championship debut and he was part of one of the pivotal moments of the match when he saved a penalty just before half time.

St. Michael’s Lotto Rota

The names for the St. Michael’s Mini Lotto Rota for this Saturday night 18th June Gavin McGinley and Mark Langan, Creeslough/Shandon Daniel McLaughlin.

St. Michael’s Mini Lotto

There was no jackpot winner in the St. Michael’s Mini Lotto on Sunday night last.  The numbers drawn were 3,5,7,11,12,16.  Two people matched 5 Shaun Boyce Centra Dunfanaghy and Monica and Kelly Rojas Florida. This weeks Jackpot be €2400.

The Club would like to thank Brian and Margaret Anne Dolan, Molly’s Bar Dunfanaghy, Seamus Sweeney Kildarragh Construction Philadelphia, Shaun Langan Creeslough Pallets and Michael McColgan Dunfanaghy for their continuing sponsorship of the lotto jackpot, it is very much appreciated.

Tickets are on sale in local businesses in Dunfanaghy and Creeslough and at the Bingo Session in Massinass Community Centre Creeslough on Sunday evenings, tickets for the St. Michaels Mini Lotto can now also be purchased on line anywhere at at onlinelotto on facebook .

St. Michael’s Bingo Session

The €100 on the 5th Game at the Bingo Session in Dunfanaghy on Sunday night last won by Joanne Hughes Massinass Creeslough, the €100 on the 10th Game was won by Bridget Sweeney Magherama Dunfanaghy.

Every house New Car if you check on 45 Numbers or less with the Lucky number in the Panel and also called in the first five numbers of that game.

The Magic Number from 1 to 90 is drawn out every Sunday night before the bingo begins.  In addition every House winner will receive a free entry to the weekly lotto, this weeks Jackpot is €2400.  The single book is €8, Double, Double Book €12, Sheet €2. Bingo continues every Sunday evening at 8pm in the Massinass Community Centre.

This Months 50 Club winners were €65 Grace Alcorn Figart Dunfanaghy, €35 Paddy Coll Massinass and €25 Grace Ann O’Doherty Greenhill.

SOS for Photographs! Nicola is currently gathering photographs for the clubhouse. If anyone has ANY team photographs from winning senior, reserve, u21 or any underage teams in league/championship/Gaeltacht she would really appreciate if you let her know. All hard copies of the photos will be returned to you safely once we make a copy of them or likewise photos can be emailed to secretary.stmichaels.donegal@gaa.ie Please spread the word as the team photos required date back to 1967!! All help with this little project would be much appreciated. Thanks everyone.

Club Gear

Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure is now stocking St Michaels club gear in children and adult sizes.

Initials can be embroidered on tops if requested in the shop.

St. Michael’s Minor Board

U8s

Our U8s had a great game last Thursday in Fanad. Two teams travelled up and put on a brilliant performance. Training as normal this Thursday at the Bridge 6 -7pm .Bus leaves Creeslough at 5.45pm .e 3 for us .We are scheduled to play Letterkenny Gaels this Saturday. more details later. Under 10’s

Under 12’s

Training continues on Tuesday evening at the Bridge.  Bus leaving corner of the garden at 5.15pm . Training is from 5.45pm to 7pm. 3 euros for bus. And any queries contact Brandon on 0860765703.

Under 12 Go Games have started, throw in every Wednesday evening at 7pm.

St. Michael’s hosted Downings last Wednesday evening.  Well done to the players and coaches who secured another win for the home side.

The under 12’s are now scheduled to play away to Maccumhails  B Wednesday evening the 15th June and are hosting Milford at the Bridge on June 22nd.

Cul Camps are now available for booking online. St. Michaels is on from the 25th to the 29th July at the Bridge.

Well Done

Well done to Mary Ann Mullen, Courtney Brennan and Marcella Dolan who were part of the Cloughaneely under 14 girls team that beat Convoy by 18pts to 16ptsin the County semi final and now play either Aodh Rua or Killybegs in the final.
