MOBILE PHONE COMPANY’S COVERAGE SO BAD, IT TEXTS APOLOGY TO CUSTOMERS

donegal phone coverageMOBILE phone provider Three has sent a global text to its Donegal customers – apologising for its coverage in the county.

It is the latest in a series of texts to customers here in the past few months following a deluge of complaints (and that’s if you were lucky enough to get through to them).

Many Donegal customers of O2 which was taken over by Three have complained that coverage has gotten WORSE rather than better in the past year.

However Three told Donegal Daily that poor coverage in some areas more recently is because it is upgrading its systems which will actually improve coverage in the county over coming months.

It also insists that after the upgrade of its masts there will be more 4G coverage available, even in rural areas.

“We apologise to customers who have been experiencing difficulties and want to assure them that the upgrade work taking place in Donegal is the cause of this,” said Three.

Work is expected to be completed in the next few weeks.

  • So which phone company do you find has the best coverage in Donegal? And which is the worst? Tell us on social media or by email to info@donegaldaily.com
