FOOTBALL: Seamus Coleman has issued a battle cry ahead of Ireland’s last sixteen clash with hosts France on Sunday.

Coleman captained Ireland to one of their most famous and greatest ever victories last night in Lille.

A late, late goal from Robbie Brady sealed a remarkable win over Italy which ensured Ireland sealed their passage into the knockout stages.

A nation is still drunk on the euphoria of last night, and frantic plans are being made to get to Lille for Sunday’s match.

Coleman took to Facebook last night to express his joy and pride, and insisted that Martin O’Neill’s side aren’t finished yet.

Coleman wrote, “Not usually one for this! What a night!! So so proud to captain Ireland on a night like that.

“Just want to thank everyone back home for their support it means everything!! Just want to thank my family and my wife and her family and all my friends for the support in my journey and of course my amazing girl Lilly.

“Were not finished yet roll on Sunday!! 💚”

Well done Seamus we’re all proud of you.
