HARPS HEAD TO LONGFORD LOOKING TO BUILD ON EXCELLENT SLIGO WIN

FOOTBALL: Finn Harps travel to Longford this evening hoping to build on their fantastic result against Sligo Rovers.

Harps defeated Sligo 3-0 in their last outing at Finn Park before the mid-season break.

Harps had a week off and returned to training last week and played a friendly match with Irish League side Cliftonville FC last Friday night.

Tonight, Ollie Horgan’s takes his side to Flancare Park hoping to continue a decent run of form of late.

Harps will be without the suspended Dave Scully for the clash this evening.

That may present a rare opportunity for Kevin McHugh to start, who has been mostly used from the bench this season.

Longford are desperate for points, and will be targeting this game as a must win in their battle to beat the drop.

Harps have performed admirably thus far this season, and a win tonight would go a long way in their bid to consolidate their status in the Premier Division.

Kick-off at Flancare Park tonight is at 7.45pm and we’ll have a match report on the game later this evening.
