A Donegal woman has finally managed to live her dream and see her musical hero Garth Brooks playing live – at the third attempt!

And not only that, but Donna McTeague and pal Caroline Leonard even got up close and personal with the superstar himself.

The women had been due to see Garth play Croke Park in 2014 only for the five gigs to be pulled.

Not to be deterred, the women then arranged to get tickets to see their hero in Tampa, Florida in May of last year but that concert was cancelled also.

They decided to give their mission one last try and this time they managed to see Garth after flying to Las Vegas last week.

But neither Donna or Caroline could envisage how up close and personal they were going to get with the singing sensation.

Their amazing night was sparked when employees of Garth spotted the women waving an Irish flag.

On the flag was a message which said “Dublin Croke Park X, Tampa Bay Florida X, Las Vegas 3 Time Lucky.’

Upon realising the lengths Donna and Caroline had gone to to see Garth, the staff upgraded their tickets and put them in the front row.
