Enda McClafferty

Enda Mc Clafferty is the new BBC News Northern Irish Political Correspondent and has a background in radio, presenting BBC Radio Foyle alongside Elaine Mc Gee. Originally from Letetrkenny, Enda also worked as an investigative journalist on BBC Spotlight; investigating everything from con-men to housing fraudsters.

(1) What is your favourite place in Donegal and why?

Lough Salt as it is wild, rugged and unspoilt. Natural beauty at its best

(2) If you could change one thing about Donegal what would it be?
The weather

(3) Who is the one person in Donegal that you look up to and why?
Swimmer Annmarie Ward, her determination and dedication is first class and she seldom gets the recognition she deserves. She is also very modest.

Buncrana Pier Tragedy and Ballymanus Mine Disaster

Football Special with a dash of Kinnegar Beer

Daniel O Donnell does great charity work and never forgets his roots

(8) Who is Donegal’s most successful businessperson in your opinion?
Moyà Doherty of Riverdance fame

(9) Who is your favourite Donegal sportsperson of all time?

The Glen Bar Restaurant
