A Convoy man has pleaded guilty plea to a Section 3 assault causing harm charge.
Mark Laverty, 23, of Greenfield, Convoy was charged with assaulting Matthew Carlin, of Crossroads, Killygordon, at Lower Main Street, Letterkenny on on September 7, 2014, causing him harm.
Laverty pleaded guilty to the single charge on arraignment when he appeared at the local Circuit Court.
Defence barrister, Peter Nolan BL, sought a probation welfare report before Judge John O’Hagan adjourned the matter to the next sitting of the Circuit Court for sentencing.
He also invited Mr Carlin to submit a victim impact statement.
