RUNEGAL

SPORT: A massive crowd is expected to attend the Runegal Hornhead Challenge, which has been organised by St Michael’s GAA club.

The event has been a fantastic success over the years, and organisers are hoping for another huge crowd.

Unfortunately, the weather is not one would expect in July, but hopeful that won’t dampen spirits ahead of what is always a fantastically run event.

St Michael’s club player Brendan Rodden has described is as one of the most scenic routes for a run in the country, and has urged locals to support this important fundraiser for the club.

Participants have an option take part in either the 5k or 10k events being run.

Registration takes place at 6pm from St Michael’s GAA clubhouse.

Entry costs are as follows:

Child €5 Adults €7.
