Missing Cassie is home

More than two days after going missing, a family’s much-loved pet dog has turned up safe if not a little worse of wear.

Cassie, an Irish Water Spaniel, went missing from her family’s home on Friday morning near the Golf Course Road area of Letterkenny.

After an appeal by Donegal Daily, Cassie was spotted in the Moorefield area on Saturday morning.

But despite much knocking on doors, there was still no sign of Cassie this morning.

But owner Johnny McGettigan revealed that just as Donegal were losing their Ulster Final today, a familiar face came to their back door.

“We had given up hope when Cassie limped home again today. Not in great shape now but we will visit the vet tomorrow.

“Thanks so so much for all your help it certainly helped us get our treasured pet back,” said Johnny.

We’re sure Cassie will be spoiled rotten in the coming days.
