The 2nd annual Marquee in Cashelard Big Charity Weekend takes place this August Bank Holiday weekend, 29th-31st July 2016, at Whoriskey’s Pub, Cashelard, Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal.
This years event is an expansion on last year’s Fonsie Bogle Music Extravaganza, in memory of Fonsie, who died in September 2013, which raised in excess of €11,000 for the Donegal to Galway Cancer Bus. The event is organised by Farrah Bogle & Brendan Whoriskey.
This year’s line-up:
Friday 29th July: Big country dance night with Declan Nerney and his band live in the Marquee, plus support from local duo Vincie & Anne. Music from 9.30pm until late. Admission €10, and tickets can be bought at Whoriskey’s, Cashelard, or from Farrah directly. Please call Farrah on 086 1623835 for any queries.
Saturday 30th July: Fonsie Bogle Memorial Night. This night sees the much awaited re-launch of Fonsie Bogle and Frankie McKiernan’s popular release ‘The Irish Colleen’, which has never been released in CD format before. Music on the night by popular 5 piece band, ‘Inside Out’ (formerly La Vida Loca), Farrah Bogle & special guests from 9.30pm. There will also be a pig on the spit served.
Sunday 31st: Family Fun Day, BBQ, 5k Run and much more in association with the Breesy Centre. Please call Michael at the Breesy Centre for any queries. Live music throughout the day and night in the bar and marquee with ‘Inch Ramblers’ and much much more. Mega fundraising draw will take place in the bar at 5pm for the chance to win a break away in Lisdoonvarna or Tralee thanks to the White Hotel group, plus a host of other fantastic prizes. Lines are now available at all local outlets, and cost €2 a line, or 3 lines for €5.
