Captain Ivan Furey’s prize to the ladies was played on Thursday 14th July. Played in very pleasant if soft conditions the following ladies were successful in obtaining the much sought after prizes. The very popular past captain Sandra Mc Monagle with 37 pts was the winner. Runner-up and a golfer to watch was Margaret Harvey scoring 36pts(bot). In third place was Anne Cannon with 36 pts.
The club competition played on Tuesday 12th July was sponsored by Mc Fadden’s Pharmacy. The winner was Anne Cannon(13) 36pts. Runner-up Marian O Sullivan(10) 34 pts(bot) and in third place Eileen Williamson(19) 34 pts. Thank you to the generous sponsors. Congratulations ladies.
Marian O Sullivan won the the gross with 23 gross pts(bot). Front nine with 19pts was the very talented golfer Veronica Mc Ateer. The back nine fell to Celine Bradley on 16pts(bot).

The Challenge Cup team travelled to Belvoir Park golf club on Sunday 17th July. Captained by Margo Bermingham they secured one match. They have the return leg in Barnhill on Thurs 28th July. We wish them a positive result on home ground. Again these golfers and caddies who represent our club at home and away deserve our support and good wishes.
