An open meeting has been arranged to discuss the possibility of setting up a Community Text Alert Scheme in the Drumkeen area.
Currently alerts are only raised via social media and although social media is an excellent way to communicate, not everyone has access to Facebook.
This meeting will have representatives from the main supports such as Muintir Na Tire, An Garda Síochána and information on the Systems Providers.
The meeting takes place in Drumkeen parish hall on Thursday July 21st at 7pm sharp.
