Gardai investigate stabbing of young man

Gardai in Donegal Town have launched an investigation after a young man was stabbed.

The man, who is in his 20s, was assaulted in the Clar area of Donegal Town in the early hours of Saturday morning last.

It is understood the man had been attending a house party when the incident occurred.

Garda sources say the man may have been stabbed at least four times.

The man was rushed to Letterkenny General hospital for treatment.

Gardai say they are following a definite line of enquiry in the case.
