This week, Ray Community Group in Rathmullen organised a summer trip to Rockhill Park, Kerrykeel. The excursion was partly funded by The Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) 2016 holiday supports from the Donegal Local Development Company (DLDC).

Sixty adults and children thoroughly enjoyed their day out in the park.

Ray Community Group have two more trips planned; there is a children’s trip to Glebe Gallery tomorrow and a trip to Tropical World’s mini zoo and butterfly house in Letterkenny for local families. Although these trips are fully booked, you can find out about more upcoming trips on the Ray Community Centre’s Facebook.

Marie Gordon from the Ray Community Group said; “We try to make things as affordable for families and we have a great community spirit. Kids and parents love getting away for the day together!”
