The second loop walk in memory of the late John Gibbons is to go ahead at 10am next Saturday, the 6th of August.
The group will leave from Loughbarra. The walk will be sure to challenge participants. They will tackle; ‘terrain only known to sheep farmers and hill walkers’, Sliabh Sneacht (678 meters high!), and other smaller hills.
Boots will be required on this walk as the terrain will be rocky in places.
The walk will take approximately 4 to 5 hours to complete.
This year, proceeds of the walk will go towards re-vamping the family room in the newly re-furbished oncology inpatient ward.
