A young Letterkenny lad has been chosen as the voice-over artist for the lead role in a new pilot television series.

Jay Larkin, son of Honey and John G. Larkin, got the news yesterday of his big break.

He is a student of the Karen Gorman Academy of Speech and Drama & Casting Agency.

Karen revealed “Jay has attended classes for a number of years now and excels in his Reading Technique & Speech and Drama Grade Exams. After a Casting Call, he submitted a recorded audition and was shortlisted yesterday.

“The Director requested a meeting with him today in Holywood. His mum and granny travelled with Jay to a meeting which was to prove to be highly successful. So much so that he was offered the job! We are beyond excited to work with such a high profile Production Company.
“They specialise in animation and have won BAFTA awards and over 50 International TV awards. Amongst the TV Chanels their work appears on are various USA stations, BBC, UTV and Sky.

“Jay’s mum in the series has also been confirmed, she was one of the lead roles in the BBC’s Give my Head Peace. The sky is the limit for this amazing boy, I’m so very proud of him.”

Jays success follows his classmates appearances in advertisements for Lidl, 3 Mobile, Vodafone, the Irish Teams Sponsorship for the Euros 2016 and dozens of short listings for Film Roles.
