Woman issues appeal to find her son’s ‘Donegal dad’

A woman has launched an appeal to find the Donegal dad of her son in the hope that they can be reunited.

Linda Jankowski has been searching for several years for her son’s father who is now approximately aged between 48 and 50.

She fell out of contact with him over the years after they had a relationship in London in the 1980s.

Now Linda, who is from Wales, has launched a fresh appeal for him to make contact again as their son, Glen (pictured), who is now 27, would like to reach out and meet his father.

Although we have chosen to with-hold the man’s name, he was born in Donegal and raised with a large family of brothers and sisters. He lived in South-East London in 1989 and drank in local pubs in the New Cross and Lewisham areas.

As Linda and the man shared a short-term relationship, she did not know many details about his line of work however she does remember that he did a bit of building work.

In the late 80s when Linda knew him, he was approximately 6 foot tall, and had mousy blonde hair.

Linda had some pictures of him however the photographs were lost in a house fire many years ago.

Linda told us that her son is quite happy to be pictured if it helps him to meet his biological father.

Linda told Donegal Daily; “I’ve made a promise to my lovely son that I will never give up trying to find his father for him but although I have been trying for years now, I’m running out of ideas.”
