Club news
Twenty club members took part in the Danny McDaid 15K with Aidan Callaghan victorious overall and Natasha Kelly first Woman home.

The previous day thirteen members swam in various distances in the Mulroy Bay swim event. Adrian Wasson was first club man home in the short race and Brian Sweeney first club man in the longer race. It was great to see DB Shields back in the water following his recent accident. Ita Mc Gettigan put her warm weather training to good use swimming on Saturday and running the 15 k on Sunday.

Two members made the trip to Belfast for the sprint and Olympic race and both Donagh O Sullivan and Lester Speer acquitted themselves well.

Karen Crawford and Mark McCollum also swam in a open water swim race in Belfast at the weekend as well but results are not yet to hand. Karen swam the 1600metres in a time of 25.50. Jonathan Martin one of the promising junior members took part in the junior triathlete development day on Saturday in Loughrea and raced in the National Series sprint event on Sunday . He had a great swim and his mother Elaine was a great support to him and the other members. John Conaghan suffered a hand injury during the week so could not race but was also down to offer support.

Fin Begley had raced three races this year before Sunday and has either won a main prize or age group prize . Sunday was no exception with her winning her age group.

In the cycling front there was one junior club members racing in the Churchill three day International youth tour cycling event in Churchill. Ciaran Mc Gettigan acquitted himself well.

Next up is the Olympic triathlon in Hazlewood , Sligo which is a National series event and Tri the lough sprint race held in Lough Macrory , Tyrone.
