A well-known Letterkenny boy has been chosen to star in a television commercial for fashion giant Polo (Ralph Lauren).

Thirteen year old Dylan Browne McMonagle will film the advertisement soon before it airs across America next year.

Dylan is already well known for his exploits as a young jockey and is also being tipped to become a professional rider.

Dylan is a student at Karen Gorman Speech and Drama and Casting

Karen is understandably delighted after receiving news of the casting.

She told Donegal Daily “I have been working on this project since last April and words cannot express my joy at having just recieved a call to say that we have been successful.

“I was overjoyed that Dylan was the only Irish boy to be shortlisted but this is quite simply a development in our Casting Agency that I shall ever forget! POLO US have chosen a Letterkenny boy!”

Karen revealed the advert will shoot over the coming weeks with a crew are flying in from America and India to oversee the production.

The contents and location of the shoot remain a secret but there will be helicopters involved.

Karen added “Dylan has been a joy to work with. We recorded video auditions and several phone interviews were also held. I cannot reveal the location or any other details as of yet.

“From 2017 he will be recognisable internationally.”
